The San Felipe 250 weekend brought intense competition and unforgiving terrain, setting the stage for a strong showing from BILSTEIN-equipped teams. Across the course, Black Hawk technology proved its capability, delivering the endurance and control needed to perform in one of off-road racing’s toughest environments.

Risq Racing (Emma Cornwall and Kaden Wells) secured a first-place finish in the Pro UTV Forced Induction class. Their Can-Am, equipped with Black Hawk dampers, handled the terrain with confidence, allowing the team to stay composed and push through to the front when it mattered most.

Kaden had an incredibly quick turnaround, rebuilding his pre-runner into a race-ready car after losing everything in a devastating fire at KOH. After a quick shock test and tune in Barstow, he went straight into pre-running the San Felipe 250 in his backup pre-runner, which already had thousands of miles on it with Bilstein Blackhawks. Pre-running went smoothly, and race day proved it. Starting from the back behind more than 50 UTVs, and running a smaller fuel cell that required six stops over the 281-mile race—he never let up. There were zero issues, they took 6th overall, and 1st in the Maverick R Forced Induction class out of 26 cars.

“The San Felipe 250 was one of the roughest ones I’ve raced. It really showed that having the best shock package on your car can make or break your race. The Bilstein Blackhawks delivered and got us on the top of the box!” – Kaden Wells, Risq Racing

“From a suspension standpoint, we focused on getting the shocks as dialed as possible in a very short window, and the Bilstein Blackhawks delivered exactly what we needed. Even with the limited prep time and the demands of a long, rough course, the performance stayed consistent all day—no fade, no issues, just confidence in the setup. Kaden and Emma drove an incredibly smart and disciplined race, especially starting deep in the field and managing multiple fuel stops. They pushed when it counted, took care of the car, and the results speak for themselves. It’s a testament to both their driving and how well the package came together.” – Nathan Ellis, BILSTEIN Powersports

In Class 3, RJ Zanon powered his Bronco to a first-place finish, backed by B8 8112 Black Hawk technology. Zanon relied on the consistency and durability of the Black Hawk system to maintain momentum and stay in contention. That reliability paid off as he pushed through the final miles to secure the class win.

These results reinforce the strength and reliability of the Black Hawk product line in the most demanding off-road racing conditions.
