FAQ (Frequently asked questions)

How long does shock service typically take?

Standard rebuild turnaround time typically ranges from 1–2 weeks depending on workload and parts availability. Rush service may be available for qualifying applications.

Do I need to remove the springs before sending coilovers?

No. You may send the full coilover assembly. Our technicians will safely disassemble and service the unit.

Can I request custom valving during service?

Yes. Our technicians can adjust valving to better match your vehicle weight, tire size, and intended driving conditions.

Will you inspect my shocks before performing repairs?

Yes. Every shock is inspected before service begins. If additional repairs or replacement parts are required, we will contact you for approval before proceeding.

How do I know if my 8100/8112 shocks need to be serviced?

Your shocks may need service if you notice:

  • Leaking oil or residue on the shock body

  • Excessive bouncing or poor handling over bumps

  • Reduced performance on rough terrain

  • Frequent off-road, racing, or heavy-duty use

  • If you have driven over 50,000 miles since the last service

If any of these signs appear, it’s a good idea to have your shocks inspected and rebuilt to maintain peak performance and safety.
